               I am writing to inform you that the Dutchess County Volunteer Firemen's Association and Liberty Mutual have teamed up to bring our members various programs here in Dutchess County.

 The first program is the Firemark award program where Liberty Mutual will award to firefighters here in Dutchess County who go above and beyond the call of duty.  This award recognizes firefighters who have demonstrated commitment to their local community by going above the daily responsibilities.  Since its inception, more than 150 Community Service Awards have been presented.

In 1996, Liberty Mutual Created a Heroic Firemark Award to honor firefighters who assisted in a heroic life saving effort without regard fro their own safety.

Liberty Mutual employees are proud to present these prestigious awards to deserving firefighters. Along with the award, an engraved plate is affixed to a master plaque, which is displayed at Alarm Headquarters.

 This award presentation will take place once a year at our annual Dutchess County Volunteer Firemen's Association Convention meeting.

  Next program is that Liberty Mutual will be giving a 5% discount off auto and 5% off their home owners insurance for association members.

 The final program is Liberty Mutual will assist any department in a safety day which includes fire protection material, car seat safety to the public and bicycle safety rodeo.
